David’s career spans executive roles in financial services, management consulting, government and nonprofits. Most recently, David served as a Partner with the Bridgespan Group, and led its Bridgestar initiative which is dedicated to recruiting and developing talented senior leaders for nonprofit organizations.
Previously, David served as a senior executive vice president in financial services at MBNA America, was a White House Fellow, and started his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company.
He holds a JD from Harvard Law School and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. He earned a BS (Economics) and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
David has served on Opportunity International boards for over 20 years, including the Opportunity Network board, and has served as head of Global Strategy & Network Relations and Chief Philanthropic Officer, chair of the MicroEnsure board, and as chair of the Opportunity-US board.
David and his family have traveled to more than 60 countries and they spent a sabbatical volunteering for Growing Opportunity Finance in Chennai, India. David serves as an elder at Church of the Saviour in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
