Growing Her Future

Help us reach 35,000 women farmers and rural business owners across Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda and Ghana.

The women who plant, harvest and sell much of the food their communities and the world depends on often cannot open a bank account, buy their own land, access training to learn modern farming techniques, or borrow money to buy seeds.

They work hard. They feed their families. They sustain local economies. But they are often locked out of the finance, tools and training they need to succeed.

Our Growing Her Future campaign aims to raise £350,000 to reach and uplift more women across sub-Saharan Africa. By providing practical training, access to savings and loans, and digital tools, we will help women grow stronger livelihoods and build secure futures for their families.

Because when women have equal access to resources and opportunities, the results ripple across households and communities: families eat better, children attend school, incomes rise, and communities become more resilient to climate shocks

DONATE TODAY and invest in a woman farmer today, helping her to grow her future.

Right now, women like Alice struggle to reach the future they deserve

Alice already had a small farm in Rwanda and the determination to support her family. But without access to financial knowledge or resources, she couldn’t earn a reliable income or improve her farm.

"Before I started farming, I didn’t know how to cultivate, but we were trained in modern agriculture, and how to take out a loan and use it,” she says.

Like many women, Alice wasn’t lacking ambition — she was lacking opportunity. Without the right support, her farm couldn’t reach its potential, and her family’s future was uncertain.

Women like Alice play an essential role in agriculture and food systems. They often contribute a significant share of the labour needed to produce food, while also caring for their households.

Despite this, many are denied access to land, finance, tools, and training, and are hit hardest by climate shocks. Together, these challenges restrict potential and deepen poverty in rural communities.

Your support turns potential into progress

With the right support, everything can change.

Our programmes are designed to help women tackle the challenges they face by providing practical training, access to finance, and ongoing local support. Women learn how to grow more and healthier crops, adapt to climate shocks and unexpected setbacks, build profitable businesses and manage their money with confidence. As their income and resilience grow, they can provide for their families — feeding their children nutritious meals, paying for healthcare, and building more secure futures.

When we invest in women, the impact goes far beyond one person. Women reinvest up to 90% of their income into their families and communities, compared to just 30–40% among men.

That means when a woman succeeds:

Icon of a plate with a knife and fork.   Children eat better

An icon of a heart with a family in it.   Families stay healthier

An icon of a graduation cap.  More children go to school

An icon of a group of people with their hands up celebrating.  Communities grow stronger

Invest in a woman today, grow her future tomorrow
