We want to introduce you to an exceptional client.

She is a 40-year old rice processer from Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana. She has worked with Opportunity International since 2017. Through the support of a women’s business group and bank loans, Azura has grown her small business. This opportunity has made all the difference.
She is earning enough money to support her family.
She is more independent.
She is providing her five children with an education – something she never had.
She is breaking the cycle of poverty and will make life better for the next generation.
She is thriving today because supporters like you have made an investment in her family and their future.
I am a rice processor. I go to the farmers in the market, buy the raw rice and process it. When I buy the raw rice, I process it by boiling it, drying it and then I must mill it in the local plant.
My business has improved. Before Opportunity I was processing three bags per week. Now I am processing fifteen bags per week.
I have five children and I spend the money on their education. I never went to school. Whenever I go to the bank, because I’m not educated, I find it hard to even sign. If I invest in my children’s education, this will not repeat itself.
My life has got better. I have more independence financially to look after myself and my children.
